Beginning Lace Knitting 1

Make more holes in your knitting –on purpose—with this fun class project designed for beginners. Participants should already know how to cast on and do the knit stitch. This is a relatively quick project that can be completed in a weekend or two and makes a great gift. It’s also a nice way to use those single skeins of luxury yarns.

In this class you will learn how to: work in the round, read a simple lace chart, and learn some basic lace stitches in order to create this lovely spiral lace cowl. A great way to expand your knowledge and end up with a cute and wearable slouchy cowl in this quick one-skein project.

On the day of class you will receive: a printout of the pattern and a free handmade stitch marker ,as a thank you from me your instructor!(Lorien)

You will need:

One skein of DK double knit (yarn weight 3) or worsted (yarn weight 4) yarn. Make sure that the skein has at least 200 yards.

Circular needles, sizes anywhere from US 7 to US 9, and at least 16” long, but no more than 24” long.

***Nicole has some lovely yarn and needles in the store already, you should check them out!***

The class sample is made with WonderLand yarns “Alice” DK yarn in the “OZ” colorway on size 8 needles.
